The most popular request we’ve heard from coaches using Stat
Manager is “Is there a way that I can track ___ stat using Stat Manager?” With previous versions of Stat Manager, we tried
to track every stat that most coaches would want to track throughout a
season. However, we also know that
coaches at all levels like to track certain stats or events that may not be
interesting to everyone. Previously,
there was no way to track these unique stats.
However, in Baseball Stat Manager 3.0, we’ve added the custom stats
feature to allow coaches to track any specific stat that is not generally
tracked by default using Stat Manager.
So, if you want to track a unique stat like the number of pitches a
player took or the number of foul balls a batter hit or the number of pickoff
attempts a pitcher has, you can now track these. The custom stats can be entered in the game
stats entry screen like every other stat and they will also show up on all
statistics windows and reports. Stat
Manager 3.0 allows 5 custom stats to be tracked for batting, pitching and
fielding. The custom stats are optional,
so if you don’t need to track any custom fields, they won’t be listed in any of
your reports or stat entry pages.
